BML opens applications for MVR 500,000 Startup Grant 2026
Bank of Maldives will give two entrepreneurs MVR 500,000 each, plus a year of support from a dedicated relationship manager. Applications close at 2:00pm on 10 November.
Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened applications for its Startup Grant 2026, which backs entrepreneurs who want to start or grow a business in the Maldives.
Two winning applicants will each receive MVR 500,000. The bank will also give each winner one year of mentorship from a dedicated Relationship Manager.
The grant is open to Maldivians aged 18 to 60 who have an innovative and viable business idea. Individuals and newly registered businesses can both apply.
Applicants must email their application and business plan to the address listed on the BML website before 2:00pm on Tuesday, 10 November 2026. Eligibility criteria and application guidelines are on the bank’s website at bankofmaldives.com.mv/startup-grant.
BML introduced the Startup Grant in 2022 to help people find funding to start or expand a business.
