BML opens 25 tech internship places
Bank of Maldives has opened applications for 25 technology internship places, a one-year paid programme for young Maldivians.
Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened applications for 25 places in the technology stream of its internship programme.
The programme is designed to give young Maldivians hands-on experience in the bank’s technology operations and other areas.
Selected interns will work at the bank for one year. During this period they will receive a monthly allowance of MVR 11,000, along with a Ramadan allowance. They will also get 15 days of annual leave and 10 days of leave for family responsibilities.
Interns will take part in important projects the bank is running and learn on the job under the guidance of experienced staff.
Applicants must be Maldivian citizens aged 18 or over. The programme is open to people studying or who have completed studies in a technology-related field, as well as those with technical skills in the area.
BML has run the programme since 2018. So far, 98 interns across seven batches have completed the training, and the bank says 60 percent of them have gone on to permanent jobs at BML. Interns who perform well also have a route to permanent employment at the bank.
The source article does not give an application deadline or say how to apply, so you may want to add those from BML’s own announcement.
