MTCC publishes 2025 annual report, profit after tax up 88%
MTCC's 2025 Annual Report shows revenue of MVR 2.13 billion and profit after tax of MVR 84.8 million, up 88 percent year-on-year, with a proposed dividend of MVR 3.00 per share. The release comes weeks after CMDA fined the company MVR 30,000 for late disclosure of its Q4 2024 financial statements.
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc (MTCC) has published its Annual Report for 2025, reporting improved profitability across most of its business segments despite a slight dip in overall revenue.
Financial performance
The Group recorded total revenue of MVR 2,134 million for the year, a marginal decline of 1.04 percent compared to 2024, driven mainly by softer performance in its Trading division. Despite the dip in revenue, operating profit rose 8 percent to MVR 179 million, while profit after tax increased sharply by 88 percent to MVR 84.8 million, up from MVR 45.2 million the previous year.
