STO has introduced the "Vscan," a portable ultrasound scanning device by GE Healthcare, a globally renowned brand in ultrasound machine manufacturing, to the Maldives.
The device was launched at a ceremony held last night at Hotel Jen, with the introduction led by STO CEO and Managing Director Shimad Ibrahim, alongside GE Healthcare's South Asia Sales Head, Jagdish Babu.
According to STO, the new models mark a shift in how ultrasound services are delivered, allowing scans to be carried out closer to patients rather than being confined to consultation rooms, a change the company said will play a significant role in improving patient care.
