Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has received the "Womanai Leadership Award for Career Advancement 2026," a distinguished honour presented by Cambridge IFA, in recognition of its ongoing efforts to advance women's careers and expand leadership opportunities.
The award recognises institutions that create an enabling environment for women to advance professionally and achieve success in leading roles across various fields within an organisation.
Alongside this recognition, five female leaders from MIB have been featured in the "Womanai Report 2026," which highlights notable women leaders in the Islamic finance sector. According to MIB, the women were included in the report for their valuable contributions to the financial services sector, along with the initiatives they have led and the achievements they have attained.
MIB said the honour reflects the dedication and hard work of its talented female employees, who continue to play a significant role in the bank's progress.
The bank also said it remains committed to building skilled talent and providing equal leadership opportunities without gender discrimination, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to empowering women.
