MTDC's new public shareholder directors elected at 2025 AGM
Five candidates have been elected as MTDC's new public shareholder representatives on the board, following the company's Annual General Meeting.
Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has congratulated its newly elected Public Shareholder Representatives, following elections held at the company's 2025 Annual General Meeting.
Nine candidates contested the available director seats, with the following five elected to represent public shareholders on MTDC's board:
Aminath Azlifa — Currently Director, Corporate Affairs at the National Bureau of Classification, with prior experience including 11 years at the Maldives Media Council, and past roles as Managing Director of Maldives Real Estate and Construction Pvt Ltd and Galactic Pvt Ltd. She holds a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Bedfordshire, UK.
Fathimath Shazlee — Currently a Senior Planning Analyst at the Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Development, with prior experience across several government ministries in planning, higher education and infrastructure-related roles. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management from the Open University of Malaysia.
Aishath Leeza — Currently Senior Lecturer at MNU Business School, with 12 years' experience as Coordinator, Lecturer and Head of Department at the Maldives National University. She holds a PhD in Business Administration from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK.
Madheeh Aboobakuru — Currently Partner/Tax at Faris & Co, with 4 years' experience there in tax consulting and advisory roles. He holds an ACCA Advanced Professional Diploma in Accounting and Business.
Ahmed Muizzu — Currently Managing Partner at Muizzu & Co, with 12 years' experience in that role. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the International Islamic University of Malaysia.
